Begin your tour with visiting India's most popular hill station, Darjeeling. Known for its small-leaved Chinese variety tea estates and the majestic view of the hulking high Kanchenjunga Peak, the hill station has been a favourite haunt for many around the world. The rustic charm of Darjeeling is also counted as the reason of it being liked by everyone and of course the colonial-era buildings make it look even more charming. Start the day with a beautiful sunrise from the highest point in Darjeeling, Tiger Hill. Then, make a short visit to Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop to get a fair idea of how beautiful Darjeeling is. Complete the day excursion with visit to Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, PNZ Zoological Park , Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refuge Centre and the famed Tea Garden. Get the taste of the local food before leaving for the next and final destination of the tour, Gangtok. Gangtok welcomes with its unspoilt natural beauty; alpine landscapes; thick luxuriant forests; torrent rivers and peaceful lakes. Gangtok is a serene destination that offers a glimpse of North East region.
Meet our representative on arrival at Bagdogra airport or NJP railway station and drive to Darjeeling. Upon arrival, check into a hotel. In the evening you are free to explore the local area. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Early in the morning, we will leave for Tiger Hill for witnessing sunrise over Mt. Kanchendzonga. Return to the hotel and en-route visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. Later, after breakfast visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, PNZ Zoological Park (closed on Thursday), Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refuge Centre (closed on Sunday) and Tea Garden (outer view). Return to the hotel for lunch and spend rest of the day at leisure, followed by overnight stay.
After breakfast drive to Gangtok, land of unspoiled natural beauty with alpine landscapes, thick luxuriant forests, rivers in torrent and peaceful lakes. On arrival, check into a hotel. For rest of the day you are free to explore the local area. Overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, proceed to Tsongmo Lake (12,210 ft) and Baba Mandir, a 40 km drive which takes 2.5 hrs. This lake is located very close to Nathu La Pass, which is the entry point to China termed as the “Silk Route” and remains frozen for most parts of the year. The lake is home to the Brahminy ducks and many migratory birds. Nearby is the sacred Baba Mandir, which is highly acknowledged for its spiritual worth. We can also visit the Nathu La Pass, which is the border between India and China. Later drive back to Gangtok. In the evening you are free for your own activities, followed by overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast drive to Bagdogra airport or NJP railway station for reaching your onward destination.
